History: 

Mass Carpool began in April 2008 in Boston, MA.  The company was founded by one Bentley graduate & one graduate from University of Maryland. The accountant/tax professionals were working for Deloitte & Touche LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Mass Carpool was up and running by May 2008.  Unpaid interns were highered for summer internship opportunities from May 15th - July 15th.  David wanted to give sophomores/freshman in college the opportunity to see what it is like to build a business from the ground up. By mid April, MassCarpool had 11 employees. Employees totaled 20 by July.  David would hold weekly meeting on Fridays throughout the summer to ensure constant communication with the entire company.  He would webcast in employees who were not in the New England area.  David always offered all employees free lunch on Fridays, often times a "lunch & learn".  David grew his network by traveling the country in serach of the most elite professionals.  He looked for young business prfoessional with knowledge in major cities; and those who understood the potential of the carpooling venture.
